My name is Cindy, I am the owner and author of Vegetarian Mamma. My husband and I grew up eating meat but decided to make the switch to a vegetarian diet about 8 years ago. Our children have been raised vegetarian but since our youngest son has allergies to peanuts, tree nuts, gluten, soy and dairy, we focus more on vegan foods. We are interested in whole organic non-GMO products which are free of artificial flavors & colors.
What to expect from this blog:
Each week we try to share a new (or new to us) recipe. We often create recipes and we often share recipes that we have found some other great foodie blogs!
On Fridays we host our Gluten Free Fridays link up. You can find lots of recipes linked up within this post each week. Gluten Free Fridays was created as a Gluten Free Recipe resource. Though we do not eat meat products at our house, GFF does have some meat recipes linked up. GFF was created to provide our Gluten Free community a resource.
At Vegetarian Mamma, we are here to encourage one another and to keep things positive. We are not here to try to dictate what you should and shouldn’t consume. You know your body, you know your beliefs and you can act upon them.
What we do encourage is for you to create an eating plan that is perfect for YOU.
If there is anything you’d like to see more of, let me know!
Thanks for being a reader!
What others are saying:
Reduce Footprints (small footprints) says: Vegetarian Mamma recently moved to a new, beautiful site … Cindy’s own “.com”! This blog is so much fun to browse through. While you will find original vegan & vegetarian recipes (like Teriyaki Plate and Spinach, Mushrooms and Pine Nuts), you’ll also find discussions on things like whether or not organic food is healthier, menu plans, recipes from other sites, DIY projects (the Homemade Bulletin Board is fabulous), reviews, deals and even an occasional giveaway. Vegetarian Mamma is a diverse, interesting site! Head over and visit for awhile!

I love your blog posts and reviews!
Our story is very similar to yours both of us brought up eating meat and switching to a vegetarian diet before we were married. All three children have been brought up vegetarian. When our youngest was diagnosed with Crohn’s Disease we put him on the Specific Carbohydrate Diet which seems to have healed him! My daughter and I are both gluten free and my daughter also has a dairy allergy!
It’s fun isn’t it making food that everyone can eat!
So pleased to have found you on FB and now here!
So VERY pleased that you found me too! Great to connect, our stories are similar! Look forward to sharing more!

So happy to find this website! My sister is vegetarian, and I’m trying to make the switch to the endometriosis diet, so this website is wonderful. Haven’t made anything yet, but I’m planning on trying the blueberry corn muffins tomorrow morning!
Great, happy to have you! I hope that you find some recipes that you enjoy!
