This apple pie dip recipe is perfect all year long, but it is even more delicious in the fall. You can make it either vegan or vegetarian depending on your preferences.
I love dipping slices of apples into it, but you can also dip gluten-free cookies too.
The Best Fall Snack
There is just something about fall that I love. I have always loved fall. I think it started with finally being able to wear jeans and comfy sweatshirts after a hot summer. Just those cooler days and nights are always so refreshing.
Fall is a time to start new routines; a time for change. I love to see the leaves turn color, I love to pick apples and see the pumpkins.
Recently, I took my boys to the Apple Orchard. It was a fun afternoon that was needed by all of us. Sometimes life can get a little busy and stressful.
It is important to step back and take some time to enjoy each other. Take some time to let go. That is what we did.
The Apple Orchard – Inspiration for the Recipe
On this particularly beautiful Sunday afternoon, we headed to the apple orchard after a soccer game. We enjoyed a blowup soccer arena, an apple jumping area, a barrel train ride, a mini corn maze, a wagon ride, apple picking, some hand-squeezed lemonade and well….each other.
To say that this afternoon was perfect, would be accurate. The kids played for hours. They were happy and carefree! Love these types of memories in the fall.
The orchard that we like to visit grows many varieties of apples. This particular weekend the Jonathan apples were ready. We headed to the orchard to fill up our bag. The best part is eating a fresh apple, right from the tree! The taste is amazing.
Of course, after we picked our apples we had to make some delicious creations for and with our apples! We chose to make Apple Pie Dip!
How to Make Vegan Apple Pie Dip
This couldn’t be an easier recipe to make. Your kids can make it when they are craving something snacky too.
There are only a few ingredients in this dip.
- Vegan Cream Cheese (or use regular cream cheese if you wish)
- Brown sugar
- Apple pie spice
- Gingerbread spice cookies
As always this recipe is simple and simply delicious. It uses 4 ingredients. That is it…FOUR! It has a star ingredient that sets it apart from other dips and heightens the flavor!

How to Store The Dip
Keep it in an airtight container in the refrigerator. It will taste the best for about 1-2 weeks. Only add the cookie crumbles to the amount you are going to eat.
If you store the dip with cookie crumbles, the cookies will become mushy inside the dip.
Apple Pie Dip
- 8 oz of vegan cream cheese
- 2 T brown sugar
- 1 t apple pie spice
- 3 gingerbread spice cookies
- In a bowl, mash together the cream cheese, sugar and spice.
- When mixed well, crumble one cookie on top of the mixture. Gently fold that crumbled cookie into the mixture.
- Take the remaining two cookies and crumble on top.
