Taffy Apple Salad Without Pudding
Typically this recipe calls for an instant pudding. Whether you use vanilla, chocolate or butterscotch, it usually has instant pudding in the ingredient list.
Not this recipe, we switched it up a bit. We removed that and it makes it extra creamy! It makes the recipe MORE fluffy! We are all about fluff around here!

What kind of apples can I use?
Honestly, you can use whatever kind you like. I personally like granny smith apples. I love the tartness they bring to dishes like this. But I also usually throw in some other apples too!
Do the apples need to be peeled?
This is really a personal preference. I like the keep the skin on the apples to add in some color but you are welcome to peel the apples prior to adding them into this dessert!
How do you serve this?
I honestly serve this as a dessert! While it looks inviting to serve as a dip, I think it is a bit chunky to do that!
Can you freeze this recipe?
I have not tried but I would advise against freezing this recipe. I don’t think that the ingredients would thaw and stir very well after freezing it.
Can I make this the night before?
Yes, you can make this dish the night before. It will last a good solid 1-2 days. Just be sure to stir when you are ready to serve each time. And note that portions of the recipe might become soggy the longer you wait after making it. Just make sure it is in an airtight container overnight. The apples may slightly brown.
