With produce still in it’s glory, you can score some amazing vegetables at your local farmers market. Put them together to create a delicious farmers market quiche for your family.
I love going to the farmers market! The ingredients are so fresh and local. My local farmers market has so many organic options as well. I love the colors, the produce and the people!
For this delicious quiche, I chose some beautiful fresh produce from our local farmers market. They are simple ingredients that you should be able to find, so you too can recreate this scrumptious farmers market quiche.
This farmers market quiche boasts the mouth watering flavors of tomatoes, leeks, fresh dill and parsley. I used brown eggs from a local farmer as well.
Ingredients for Farmers Market Quiche
- Pie crust – we used a premade pie crust
- Cherry tomatoes
- Sour cream
How to Make Farmer’s Market Quiche
Place pie shell on a lipped baking sheet. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
In the bottom of the pie shell, gently place your leeks and tomatoes.
Layer cheese and fresh dill.
Whisk together the eggs, milk and sour cream. Pour into crust.
Bake for 40-45 minutes or until a knife comes out clean from your quiche when inserted. Let sit for 5 minutes.
Garnish the top of the quiche with fresh parsley, ENJOY!
Start by cutting your colorful cherry tomatoes in half. I chose a rainbow variety for more color. Slice the white part of your leek and separate the circles. When you are slicing the leek, it is okay if the circle breaks.
Add your sliced leeks and halved cherry tomatoes into the pie crust. This will be your bottom layer to the delicious farmers market quiche.
Next, add your cheese on top of the leeks and tomatoes. I used a mild white cheddar. If you have a favorite cheese, feel free to customize your quiche to make your tastebuds happy.
Next up is dill. This is by far one of my favorite herbs! I love fresh dill. You can use it in so many ways! Simply, remove the dill pieces from the larger stems and place into crust.
Next, is the addition of the milk and egg mixture. This creamy mixture will bring together all the beautiful flavors in this dish.
Now your farmers market quiche is ready for the oven! While waiting can be hard, what comes out of the oven is a thing of beauty. Beautiful in sight and beautiful in taste!
How Can I Tell When A Quiche Is Done?
A quiche should be silky and soft in your mouth if its been cooked properly. The center should be set, but just a little jiggly.
This quiche will continue to set up as it cools.
How To Store Quiche
Quiche will last in the fridge, covered for 3 to 4 days. Any longer and I recommend wrapping the quiche well and freezing it. This zucchini quiche will last about 2 to 3 months in the freezer.
Because quiche is a “custard” in a sense, be sure to refrigerate this after 2 hours at room temperature.
How To Reheat Quiche
You can definitely make this a couple days ahead of time, and then simply reheat. Or just to enjoy the leftovers! I recommend reheating in the oven.
Reheat at 325 for about 15 minutes, covered with foil.

This farmers market quiche is so tasty that my husband went back for THIRDS! It even reheats well the next day. I will admit, I pouted quite a bit when there was only one piece left for me the next morning! It is SO GOOD!
The tomatoes in this quiche do add a little bit of moisture. You may need to bake 2-3 minutes longer to take care of that moisture if you think it might bother you. 🙂 See, always adapting!
