With produce still in it’s glory, you can score some amazing vegetables at your local farmers market. Put them together to create a delicious farmers market quiche for your family.
I love going to the farmers market! The ingredients are so fresh and local. My local farmers market has so many organic options as well. I love the colors, the produce and the people!
For this delicious quiche, I chose some beautiful fresh produce from our local farmers market. They are simple ingredients that you should be able to find, so you too can recreate this scrumptious farmers market quiche.
This farmers market quiche boasts the mouth watering flavors of tomatoes, leeks, fresh dill and parsley. I used brown eggs from a local farmer as well.
You might remember around Mother’s Day I posted a recipe for Simple Quiche. In that recipe post, I talked about how I met and fell in love with the products of The Maine Pie Co. This company not only makes delicious pre-made pie crusts but it also makes amazing gluten-free pies and torts.
The products are certified gluten-free and are tested by the ELISA method to have <5ppm. The crusts are light and flaky. The crusts are so delicious, they can easily fool your gluten loving friends! The best part is this company is expanding its distribution AND they are now shipping! It is a win-win.
How to Make Farmer’s Market Quiche
Start by cutting your colorful cherry tomatoes in half. I chose a rainbow variety for more color. Slice the white part of your leek and separate the circles. When you are slicing the leek, it is okay if the circle breaks.
Add your sliced leeks and halved cherry tomatoes into the pie crust. This will be your bottom layer to the delicious farmers market quiche.
Next, add your cheese on top of the leeks and tomatoes. I used a mild white cheddar. If you have a favorite cheese, feel free to customize your quiche to make your tastebuds happy.
Next up is dill. This is by far one of my favorite herbs! I love fresh dill. You can use it in so many ways! Simply, remove the dill pieces from the larger stems and place into crust.
Next, is the addition of the milk and egg mixture. This creamy mixture will bring together all the beautiful flavors in this dish.
Now your farmers market quiche is ready for the oven! While waiting can be hard, what comes out of the oven is a thing of beauty. Beautiful in sight and beautiful in taste!
This farmers market quiche is so tasty that my husband went back for THIRDS! It even reheats well the next day. I will admit, I pouted quite a bit when there was only one piece left for me the next morning! It is SO GOOD!
The tomatoes in this quiche do add a little bit of moisture. You may need to bake 2-3 minutes longer to take care of that moisture if you think it might bother you. 🙂 See, always adapting!

Your photos are beautiful! I can imagine how tasty this is, with all the fresh veggies, sour cream and cheddar. I haven’t made quiche for a while (I think it was ham and cheese), but I’d love to check out the farmers market and make a vegetarian version.
