Today I’d like to tell you about the products from Allergic Solution. The company and products were born from a passionate journey to eat foods that help reduce inflammation within the body. Tammie, the owner has applied her 20+ years in the nutrition, healthy and wellness community as well as her own personal experience to create these products. Tammie, was busy caring for her family, working and baking so many items from scratch to make sure that her food fit her dietary guidelines to help manage her MS. She saw a huge need for convenient mixes that were allergy friendly. Tammie wanted foods that weren’t full of empty sugar and had high glycemic values. Thus, the products of Allergic Solution was born.
Allergic Solution offers 4 products in their current line. All products are free from: corn, dairy, egg, peanut, tree nut and soy.
Allergic Solution offers a yeast free bread mix. This mix makes one loaf of bread. You simply add ground chia seed, apple cider vinegar, oil and water to the mix. Mix up the batter and bake. The ingredients of the yeast free bread mix are: CHICKPEA FLOUR, TAPIOCA FLOUR, BAKING SODA, XANTHAM GUM, SEA SALT.
If you’d like to change up your bread recipe, you can find more fun bread recipes here.
I was most excited with the bread. We are always needing a great allergy friendly bread around here. The bread couldn’t have been easier to make and froze well. We were happy with the results.
Allergic Solution also makes a pancake and waffle mix. We decided to make waffles from our mix! (these freeze well) Simply mix egg or egg substitute, oil, milk of your choice and water. The ingredients of the pancake and waffle mix are: CHICKPEA FLOUR, TAPIOCA FLOUR, CREAM OF TARTAR, BAKING SODA, XANTHAN GUM, SEA SALT.
You can find more pancake/waffle recipes to use with this mix, here.
My boys were most excited with the waffles. Any day they can eat waffles is a good day around here. My family was very satisfied with the taste and how they turned out!
Allergic Solution also makes a Vanilla Cake Mix. As you can see we made our mix into cupcakes. We like making a batch and freezing part for later. You never know when you are going to need an allergy friendly cupcake! To make the vanilla cake mix, you will need to add oil, milk of your choice, sugar (you decide on the amount), vanilla and water. The ingredients of the mix are: CHICKPEA FLOUR, SORGHUM FLOUR, TAPIOCA FLOUR, BAKING SODA, CREAM OF TARTAR, XANTHAN GUM, GROUND VANILLA BEAN. I think what is neat about the cake mixes is that you control the sugar. You control the type you put in and the amount. You can adjust it for your dietary needs and taste!

For both of the cupcake mixes I used minimal sugar. I am on a mission to reduce our sugar intake. The product baked up nicely with a reduced amount of sugar. 1 of my boys decided it wasn’t sweet enough to eat but the other enjoyed it! Regardless, you can adjust the sugar to fit YOUR tastebuds 🙂 My tastebuds were good with less sugar!
The final Allergic Solution product we sampled was the Carob Cake.We also continued our cupcake theme with this mix. However, this mix makes a 9 inch circle cake as well. To make this mix you add in the same ingredients as the vanilla cake. The ingredients of the mix are: CHICKPEA FLOUR, SORGHUM FLOUR, TAPIOCA FLOUR, CAROB POWDER, BAKING SODA, CREAM OF TARTAR, XANTHAN GUM, GROUND VANILLA BEAN, SEA SALT.

I didn’t show it in this picture, but we ended up frosting these carob cakes. My boys were ready for a touch of sweet frosting. We were very happy with the little cakes and they froze well!
