If your idea of getting away from it all involves nature, than you will enjoy your self at the Hocking Hills Treehouse Cabins. These amazing cabins are well build and have all the amenities you need!
The Hocking Hills area of Ohio is known for amazing hiking, gorgeous views, and some of the best camping around. Myself, I prefer “glamping” or camping with more of the comforts of home available to me.
Treehouses in Hocking Hills are very popular, with bigger and better rentals popping up all over the place.
I got to spend 2 nights in the Beech Treehouse from Hocking Hills Treehouse Cabins recently, and of course I fell in love with this SE Ohio region all over again.

I feel very lucky that I live so close to Hocking Hills. A break from the chaos is only a short drive away, and I take full advantage of that and make sure I cabin camp as much as possible!
I’ve camped in many different Hocking Hills cabins, but somehow I haven’t yet camped in a treehouse!
The Beech Treehouse was amazing, and I am really excited to share my experience here with you.
This property is so well described right on their website:
“The Beech Treehouse is the perfect retreat for rest, relaxation and reconnection surrounded by nature. Features a spiral staircase leading to the upstairs master bedroom, bathroom with shower, kitchenette, living room with pull-out sleeper sofa, electric fireplace, wood-fired hot tub, fire pit, grill, seasonal outdoor shower, and wrap-around deck to enjoy to wooded views.”
Sleeping Arrangements
The two story Beech treehouse has two sleeping areas. One is the Master bedroom at the top of the spiral staircase. The other is a pull out sofa in the living area.
My travel companion and I took turns in each area so we could really enjoy the whole place.
The master bedroom features a gorgeous wooded view and a plush bed with linens included. The pull out couch was comfy as well, and close to the kitchen if I wanted a snack! If you are traveling with kids, be sure to take along a travel crib.
Other Amenities
This place really had everything I needed. The kitchen was stocked with dishes, cookware and small appliances including a Keurig, Crockpot, and a toaster oven. An electric cooktop and a kettle for tea were there as well.
The outdoor areas at the Beech treehouse are spectacular. From the wraparound deck to the stocked firepit, outdoor shower, and finally the wood fire heated hot tub - every inch of this property was created to make the guest feel welcome and taken care of.
Julian and Bridget Allen maintain 3 professionally designed and built treehouse getaways on a 15 acre plot in Hocking Hills. It’s really beautiful how the treehouses fit in to the woods so seamlessly.
They welcome pets in their cabins too, which is always a plus for my family, even though I didn’t bring any pets with me on this trip.
