Baked donut holes

You know those times when you really just want a donut? Sometimes that craving can be almost overpowering. I have a recipe that is perfect for those times! These donut holes are perfect! They are gluten-free and vegan. They taste every bit as delicious as conventional donuts. But they don’t have any ingredients you won’t like.

If you are a huge breakfast fan, I would suggest that you also check out our gluten free vegan cinnamon roll muffins and our gluten free mushroom quiche.

Easy Baked Donut Holes

I have been searching for an easy no-fry recipe for doughnut holes! I found everything I wanted in this recipe! Homemade Baked Doughnut Holes will be your favorite too!

These doughnut holes are light and full of crunchy flavor! I would suggest tripling the batch! Not that you will eat the entire bunch in one sitting. But you’ll want to. And as soon as your family smells them, they will be gone!

We ate these up so quick and needed more! I adapted the recipe from here.

Made these today for a special event at my three year old son’s school. They were a hit! When I picked him up this afternoon, he said “Momma, I want those donuts every day!” A few things that I will modify for future: make only 1/2 the coating (I threw out at least half and they were adequately covered), not have them touch (side-by-side) in the pan (the coating can come off when pulled apart), and take them out about minute 10 and roll them a bit (so the coating is cooked/crispy on all sides. These were just for my taste, however–others may not even care given how tasty they come out! Oh, and I had some stale GF Rice Krispies and they worked well. Thank you for this recipe!

I’ve gotten a lot of milage out of your recipe! Just now used my new Wilton donut pan–six donut forms so you can bake your own. Rolled the dough into a snake and then pressed into a sprayed donut form. Spooned on some of the butter coating and baked for 8 mins at 400 degrees in my convection oven. Holy frijoles! Like cake donuts, but GF and vegan!!! Thanks again for posting!!!!
