Looking for a warm, delicious breakfast that will stick with you this fall season? This SunButter Banana Oatmeal will be your new favorite.
As the seasons start to change, the weather is getting cooler by the day. With cooler weather, I start to crave warm breakfasts! I especially look for easy breakfast ideas but ones that will stay with me most of the morning! Nobody wants to be left hungry!
Oatmeal is often times overlooked. It is actually a very quick meal to make!
This delicious oatmeal recipe has only a few ingredients. I used gluten-free oats, sugar, salt, banana, dairy-free chocolate chips and creamy SunButter.
You might have seen in my social media that I recently visited SunButter in Fargo, North Dakota. My friendly Keeley McGuire and I headed out West to check out the sunflower fields and the SunButter facilities. We can’t wait to share our amazing experience learning about #SeedToSunButter. Be on the lookout for our posts soon!
I love SunButter because it not only tastes amazing but it is free from the TOP8 most common allergens. This makes it a great peanut butter alternative for schools. It comes in several varieties but I used the creamy selection for this recipe!

SunButter Banana Oatmeal
- In a sauce pan over medium heat, combine milk, gluten-free old fashioned oats, salt, sugar, mashed banana and SunButter.
- Bring to a boil and cook for 3-5 minutes or until you find your desired consistency. You will need to stir often to blend ingredients and to avoid the oatmeal sticking to the bottom of the pan.
- Divide mixture into 4 bowls. Top with freshly cut banana slices (optional) and chocolate chips!
