Indianapolis Indiana has an awesome amount of culture and activity. We visited recently (and we are going back soon!) and found so many fun things to do. I was thrilled to find out that there was no shortage of gluten free and celiac friendly restaurants in Indianapolis. Here are 8 standouts that you should plan to visit while you’re there.
Harry and Izzy’s
With two locations (one downtown and one Northside), Harry and Izzy’s is a modern steakhouse with an extensive gluten free menu. Reviews of this restaurant praise them for their careful attention to gluten free diners, and their dedicated gluten free fryers.
Weber Grill Restaurant
If you’re looking for amazing grilled food, go to the original expert of grilling: Weber. Weber Grill Restaurant in Indianapolis is known in the celiac community for taking great care to avoid cross contamination. Conveniently located near the sports centers and the Circle Center Mall.

Cafe Patachou is an awesome place for breakfast or lunch. They serve fresh, local food and have a well notated menu with many gluten free options. Reviews state that they use a dedicated gluten free toaster for their gluten free toast!
C.R. Heroes Family Pub
Just outside of the city, in the suburb of Fisher, you’ll find C.R. Heroes Family Pub. With a 100% rating on Find Me Gluten Free, you can be sure that this restaurant really “gets it” when it comes to gluten free dining. Kids eat free on Tuesdays too!
Open Society Public House
Interested in having some gluten free chicken and waffles? Stop at Open Society on College Ave. where they are well known for making gluten free super delicious. Open for brunch and dinner, this modern restaurant is a destination for sure.

Some of the best fresh and imaginative burgers in the city – they offer gluten free buns and other GF options on their menu.
