Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400.
  • Saute the onion and bell pepper until soft.
  • Mix in the rest of the 'baked beans' ingredients (through cinnamon) and simmer for 12 minutes.
  • In a mixing bowl combine cornmeal, flour, baking powder and sugar. Next, add 'milk'.
  • Grease a casserole dish, spread the baked beans mixture and top it with the cornbread mixture.
  • Bake for about 30-35 minutes or until golden.
  • Enjoy.
