  • Mesh strainer
  • Instant Pot
  • Wooden spoon


  • ½ cup quinoa
  • 1 cup water or vegetable broth
  • teaspoon salt
  • ½ tablespoon oil


  • Start by rinsing the quinoa. Remove any unwanted pieces, and strain out the water.
  • Add quinoa to the Instant Pot.
  • Add water or vegetable broth.
  • Add salt and oil. Stir to combine.
  • Lock the Instant Pot and set knob to seal. Press manual, then select high pressure. Set timer for 1 minute.
  • Once timer goes off, let Instant Pot naturally release for 12 minutes. Carefully quick release remaining pressure.
  • Fluff quinoa with a fork before serving.


  • This recipe is easily tripled.
