Instructions
Gather your ingredients and preheat the oven to 350F/180C.
Add the hazelnuts to a roasting pan and bake for about 12 minutes or until browned, fragrant and with the skins starting to crack.
Alternatively,
you can toast the hazelnuts in a skillet on a medium heat for 8-10 minutes.
Let the hazelnuts cool for a few minutes, then rub them in a towel to remove some of the skins.
Sprinkle some salt to taste over the nuts and serve.
Notes
Overall, the biggest tip is to keep watching the hazelnuts because they can scorch quickly!
The roasted hazelnuts can be stored for up to
6 months
in an airtight container in the fridge. They can also be frozen.
Let them cool completely, no need to burn your tongue! It's worth the wait to let them cool!
Don’t like the skins? Remove them by rubbing with a clean kitchen towel once cool!
Spice it up! You could also add some spices of choice to the nuts once roasted.
Roast alongside some
other nuts
and add some
dried fruit
to make your own healthy trail mix!
