Chocolate covered Peanut Candy is a super easy recipe that everyone loves! Crunchy nuts, peanut butter, dark chocolate, and sea salt come together to make the best homemade peanut clusters.
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat.
Add the chocolate chips and peanut butter to a medium sized microwave safe bowl.
Heat in 30 second intervals, stirring between each interval, until the chocolate is fully melted.
Add the peanuts to the melted chocolate and stir to coat the peanuts with chocolate.
Drop rounded tablespoons of chocolate onto the lined baking sheet.
Sprinkle over the flakey sea salt and place the peanut candy in the fridge until it is set– about 30 minutes.
Transfer the peanut candy to an airtight container and store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to one week.
Notes
Sprinkle flaky sea salt over the clusters before they harden. This helps to balance the sweetness of the candy. If you don't have sea salt, kosher salt will do, but avoid using regular table salt.
Instead of using the microwave, you can melt the chocolate on the stove using a double boiler.
Any type of peanut butter works in this recipe, so feel free to use standard or all-natural nut butter.
Salted, roasted peanuts are your best choice, as they give the candy the best salty crunch on the inside!
Store peanut candy in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.
