Chocolate-covered Peanut Candy is a super easy recipe that everyone loves! Crunchy nuts, peanut butter, dark chocolate, and sea salt come together to make the best homemade peanut clusters.
Make peanut candy for the holidays, or any time you want to share a sweet treat with your family.
Why This Peanut Candy Recipe is So Good
- It's super simple to make! Melt chocolate chips and peanut butter in the microwave, stir in some peanuts, and spoon the mixture out into clusters. The hardest part is waiting for the candy to harden before you dig in!
- There are only four ingredients in this recipe, and you might even already have everything you need in your cupboards.
- Peanut candy makes a great handmade gift. Tie up a few of these in a pretty bag and hand them out as tasty gifts for the holidays. Think about teachers, coworkers, and all of those people that are hard to shop for.
Tips and Tricks for Making This Easy Peanut Candy
- Sprinkle flaky sea salt over the clusters before they harden. This helps to balance the sweetness of the candy. If you don't have sea salt, kosher salt will do, but avoid using regular table salt.
- Instead of using the microwave, you can melt the chocolate on the stove using a double boiler.
- Any type of peanut butter works in this recipe, so feel free to use standard or all-natural nut butter.
- Salted, roasted peanuts are your best choice, as they give the candy the best salty crunch on the inside!
Peanut Candy Variations
Once you have the hang of this easy peanut candy recipe, you can adjust it to make all different kinds of chocolatey treats!
Try using different types of nuts, like cashews or almonds, along with the peanuts or in place of them.
Other mix-ins, such as raisins, or dried cranberries would be delicious!
You can also try using half chocolate chips and half white chocolate or butterscotch chips for a whole new flavor.
Decorate your peanut candy clusters with festive sprinkles for the holidays!
