A tart, fruity, and refreshing White Tea Shot is a fun twist on the classic green tea shot, but made with vodka instead of Irish whiskey. Hints of peach and citrus make this easy cocktail tasty and fun!
Why This White Tea Recipe is So Good
- There isn't any tea in a white tea shot, but it gets its name from the slightly cloudy white color that it gets from lemon juice and soda. If you're looking for tea, make a matcha latte instead!
- This drink makes a fun shooter, but it's also delicious served on the rocks for sipping, or in a martini glass. Just add an extra splash of soda to fill up the glass.
- My white tea shot recipe doesn't use sour mix. Instead, fresh lemon juice gives it all the sourness it needs. In all, you only need four ingredients to make this drink, so the party will get started even quicker!
Tips and Tricks for Making The Best White Tea Shots
- I like to pour the lemon lime soda in with the ingredients and shake everything together, but you can also stir the soda in after shaking so that it keeps all of its bubbles.
- Plain vodka is good, but making a white tea shot with citrus vodka is even better! Use your favorite brand.
- If you don't have a traditional cocktail shaker, do like I do and use a mason jar with a lid instead.
White Tea Shot Variations
- Swap out the lemon-lime soda for grapefruit soda or lemonade.
- Use other vodka flavors, such as orange, lime, or any of the fun specialty flavors available.
- Try it with other clear liquors like tequila or run too.
- If you make this shot with Irish whiskey instead of vodka, it becomes a green tea shot!
