My salad has all the flavors and textures that you associate with Mediterranean dishes. Mediterranean countries all border the Mediterranean Sea. These are the foods and where they typically come from.
- Olives – Olives are grown all over the world, including Greece and Italy.
- Chickpeas – India is the largest producer in the world.
- Capers – These are grown in dry, stony areas of the Mediterranean such as Italy, Spain, and Morroco.
- Feta Cheese – This cheese originated in Greece.
- Balsamic Vinegar – This is a product of Italy
