Looking for a refreshing drink for the summer? Grab a glass of this gluten-free summer beer and relax!

mason jar of summer beer with a slice of lime in it

It is mid July and we are breaking out the recipes for one of our favorite drinks! You guessed it, Summer Beer! This isn’t your typical summer beer as this beverage is all gluten-free. While you can make it with gluten beer, we are making it safe for us (and you) by  using gluten-free products.

Just imagine, sitting on your back deck as the hot sun warms you. You feel thirsty and you grab for your refreshing summer beer. It is sweet from the frozen lemonade but has some tartness from the fresh lime slices. Sip away as your summer beer provides the ultimate adult summer relaxation!

Ingredients For This Summer Beer Recipe

  • Frozen Lemonade – We used frozen lemonade concentrate, but fresh lemonade would also work here.
  • Gluten Free Vodka – Most vodkas, even made from wheat, barley, and rye are still considered gluten free because of the distillation process. Some people still claim discomfort when enjoying these types. So to be on the safe side, you might want to choose a vodka that is made from gluten free foods – like potatoes. Here is a gluten free vodka list to check out if you need some help.
  • Gluten Free Beer – gluten free beersYou can use regular beer that’s not gluten free if gluten isn’t a concern. But here are some to check out!
  • Fresh Lime – This of course gives a great freshness and zip to the lemonade. But a lemon or orange slice would also be delicious!

How To Make This Summer Beer

Super easy to make. Just 3 simple steps….

  • Combine the thawed lemonade concentrate with gluten-free vodka. Mix well.
  • Gently stir in the 2 bottles of gluten-free beer.
  • Pour into glasses and garnish with a sliced lime.
Enjoy and drink responsibly!

What’s The Best Beer To Use For Summer Beer?

We used a gluten free beer, but in general I recommend using a lighter beer that isn’t full of other flavors and overpowers.

Can I Use Pink Lemonade Instead?

Absolutely! That would be delicious! Or even a limeade would be great as well.

How Strong Is Summer Beer?

You can adjust how strong this drink is to your liking. If you want it strong, just add more beer or vodka. Or if you want to tone it down, add more lemonade.

Summer Beer Variations:

  • Switch up the lemonade. Try pink lemonade. Or limeade!
  • Change the citrus. We used lime, but orange or lemon works as well.
  • Don’t have frozen? No worries. Use fresh or bottled lemonade.
  • Adjust to your liking. Want it strong? Add more vodka or beer. Want to mellow it out a bit? Add more lemonade.
