MATCHA SMOOTHIE BOWL RECIPE
If you haven’t had matcha before, now is a good time to try. The taste is a hard one to describe. At our house we often drink it warm, but I truly love it cold. So an iced matcha latte it is!
You might already know that matcha is delicious. Maybe you’ve even had it at a fancy coffee shop. Today, we are showing you how easy it is to make a matcha bowl or vegan matcha smoothie at home!
We've already recently shared how to make an Iced Matcha Latte and a Matcha Dolgona (whipped matcha) or maybe you'll like our spirulina smoothie.
INGREDIENTS IN A MATCHA BOWL
bananas - Make sure the bananas are peeled, sliced, and frozen.
plant based milk - I love coconut milk, but you can use your favorite milk here. I've also made this with Hemp Milk and nut milk.
matcha powder - You can use your favorite brand of matcha powder. If you aren't sure where to start, this brand is good.
maple syrup - You can use any brand of real maple syrup, I love to use local maple syrup.
vanilla extract - You don’t need anything fancy when it comes to vanilla extract and this drink. Just want you have in your pantry is fine.
Optional toppings: seeds and fruits of your choice.

WHAT TO SERVE WITH A MATCHA BOWL
This can be tricky because this matcha smoothie has a pretty strong and distinct taste, do you want to go it alone or with a food item that won't over powder the matcha taste.
I usually have the matcha bowl for breakfast! So I typically pair it with an oat milk latte or mason jar cold brew. If you've made it this far but don't think that match is your thing, then I have another delish option for you, this is THE Best Homemade Vegan Acai Bowl.
DO I NEED TO SIFT THE MATCHA POWDER?
Yes, it works much better if you sift the matcha powder when making your dalgona matcha! It helps to prevent clumping.
DOES MATCHA MAKE YOU POOP?
Yes, matcha can make you poop. Let's just say that it can help things to start moving along. 😉
