VEGAN AVOCADO DRESSING RECIPE
I can't get enough of this vegan avocado dressing. It has the spirit of a mild guacamole dip, with cilantro and lime, but it's thin enough to toss with a salad or use as a dip for chips or veggies.
Healthy fats from both olive oil and ripe avocado make this a nutritional and delicious choice for your salad or other meals. Use this Vegan Avocado Dressing as a healthy alternative to ranch dressing and dips.
Gather your fresh ingredients and let's make this amazing Vegan Avocado Dressing. You'll have enough for a family meal, or enough for yourself for workweek of lunches. Vegan avocado dressing is perfect tucked into meal prepped lunches with some greens and Air Fryer Tofu.
INGREDIENTS IN VEGAN AVOCADO DRESSING
Avocado - You'll need one avocado, seed and skin removed. Your avocado should be soft and ripe.
Olive Oil - You can use extra virgin olive oil, or substitute with avocado oil for a full avocado experience.
Lime Juice - Freshly squeezed lime juice is key here. It adds acidity and tons of bright flavor.
Cilantro - Fresh cilantro leaves add an earthy, herby flavor. Make sure to use only the leaves. Cilantro stems can be bitter.
Garlic - Minced garlic gives our dressing a warm, savory flavor.
Salt and Pepper - Add to taste. I like to add a nice pinch of both.
Water - You may or may not need water to thin out your dressing. It depends on the size of your avocado and how thick or thin you prefer the dressing to be.

VARIATIONS + TIPS FOR VEGAN AVOCADO DRESSING
- Substitute any other fresh herbs for the cilantro. Try dill, basil, parsley, or a combination of two or more herbs.
- Use a different acid. Lime juice is gorgeous when paired with avocado and cilantro, but lemon juice will work too. To skip the citrus flavor all together, use apple cider vinegar.
- Make it creamier. Use your favorite plant based milk or mayo to give this dressing a creamier texture if you like. Just add a tablespoon or two and mix well.
- Make in a blender: Use either a food processor or a blender to create your vegan dressing. Both will work well. If your blender is not a high speed one, I suggest chopping the herbs a bit before adding them in.
- How to store: It keep in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week. I actually like it better after it's sat there for a day or two so they flavors can develop more.
