MEDITERRANEAN SAUCE RECIPE
If you want a light and creamy sauce that goes with everything, you've found it! This Mediterranean Sauce, also known as tzatziki sauce, is one of my favs. It's great on veggies, salads, or sandwiches.
All you need are some fresh cucumbers, tangy Greek yogurt, a few lemons, and some olive oil, of course. And don't forget the dill! I also garnish mine sometimes with mint or extra oil, too.
INGREDIENTS IN MEDITERRANEAN SAUCE
Cucumbers: This fresh and crunchy veggie is the base for tzatziki sauce! Make sure you drain off all the liquid after grating of you'll end up with mediterranean soup.
Greek yogurt: I love this protein-packed yogurt! I always use the full fat plain version for this sauce recipe.
Minced garlic: Everything is better with garlic! Dry or fresh will work here.
Lemon juice: I love the bright acidic flavor this adds to my dip.
Olive oil: This Mediterranean oil takes your dip from basic to extraordinary.
Dill: I love this fresh herb! It gives that perfect tzatziki flavor.
