A refreshing drink that reminds me of the Florida Keys - it's a taste of sunshine in a glass. A perfectly balanced OO7 is simple to make with only three ingredients. One is fresh-squeezed orange juice.
I was introduced to the OO7 in Key West at the Tree Bar on Duval Street on a hot July afternoon. Since you may not be able to make the trip to Key West, you can still enjoy the wonderful OO7 by following the recipe.
The OO7 uses just three ingredients to create a refreshing cocktail that is sure to transport you to the tranquil breezes of the Florida Keys.

Why This OO7 Cocktail Recipe is So Good
- It's Simply Delicious! With fresh-squeezed orange juice, 7Up, and orange-infused vodka, it is refreshing as a summer breeze.
- Just 3 Ingredients. Vodka, fresh orange juice, and 7Up are combined in an OO7. It's a very simple formula for making the best drink.
- OO7s are a fun drink to make for a fun time around the pool, cocktail party, or a quiet night in that calls for something a bit more like Florida sunshine.
Tips and Tricks for Making OO7 on the Rocks
- You can, of course, serve OO7 straight up instead of over ice.
- Stir the ingredients, never shake, as the bubbles will dissolve. To add a garnish, slice a wheel of the end of the orange before squeezing.
- You should use fresh-squeezed orange juice by using a navel or Valencia orange. If you do not have access to fresh oranges, orange juice will work in a pinch. If you can find Blood Oranges, it works well too.
- Use infused vodka. I recommend Blood Orange Sky Vodka, but any brand that has infused oranges will work.
- For the soda, use 7UP. You can use any lemon-lime soda if you do not find 7UP.
