London Mule is an easy and fun variation of the classic Moscow mule drink. Gin combined with lime and ginger beer makes the most delicious and zesty ice-cold cocktail. Serve this London Mule in a classic copper mug for the full effect!

Why This London Mule Recipe is So Good
- It's really quite easy. While these drinks taste and look fancy, there are only 3 main ingredients in this London Mule Recipe: Gin, ginger beer, and fresh lime.
- The bright and refreshing flavor from ginger and lime blends wonderfully with London dry gin, making this drink even more flavorful than a Moscow mule!
- This cocktail is mixed up right in the mug, so it's super simple to make just one drink or make a few to share with your friends.
If you love gin cocktails, try a Gin Mojito, or make a Bootlegger Drink with gin instead of vodka.
Tips and Tricks for Making The Best London Mule
- Choose the Best Gin. There are so many different types of gin on the market now, each with its own flavor profile. A London Mule is best with a botanical gin, as opposed to a floral or smoky gin. Bombay Sapphire or The Botanist are two that I love in this recipe.
- Use freshly squeezed lime juice, rather than bottled lime. The flavor of fresh lime juice cannot be beat!
- Look for ginger beer at the grocery store near the other cocktail mixers. This "beer" is non-alcoholic, but has a zippy, effervescent flavor that's much more pronounced than ginger ale. Note that not all ginger beer is gluten-free, so be sure to check the labels.
- Mules are traditionally served in a chilled copper mug, but this drink works in a regular glass too if you don't have them.

I made this drink with Tanqueray gin. Surprisingly, the ginger beer did not overwhelm the mild gin, it was delicious!
