This air fryer pumpkin french toast is the perfect addition to your busy weekday morning or your lazy Saturday brunch. The taste of this air fryer french toast is elevated by the addition of some pumpkin puree.

I am honestly a fan of pumpkin flavors all year round but of course pumpkin is oh so popular in the Fall! If you love pumpkin you need to check out our Gluten Free Pumpkin Pancakes and our Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Mini Donuts!

For me, the excitement comes from the cooler temperatures, the beautiful green leaves that turn into other beautiful colors and of course, pumpkin! I seriously, love Fall! I got married in Fall, my first child was born in the Fall! Fall time is pretty great! Don’t you agree? 🙂

One of my favorite things each week is a lazy Saturday morning brunch, especially if we do not have soccer games to attend. I love sleeping in a bit, grabbing a cup of coffee and making brunch. 

Of course, I love to use my air fryer! So this Fall, we are loving Air fryer pumpkin french toast! I have made an Air Fryer French Toast before. But this time, we are taking the taste up a notch with some pumpkin puree!

Believe it or not, there are several health benefits to pumpkin! So here is looking at you, Pumpkin Air Fryer French Toast! Pumpkin puree is loaded with fiber, which helps to support healthy digestion! Pumpkin puree also is stocked full of iron. Iron gives your immunity system a boost as well as your eyes, bones and teeth! There are quite a few benefits to consuming pumpkin! Who knew?

How to make homemade pumpkin puree

Are you a homemade or made from scratch type of person? You can totally bring that to this Pumpkin Air Fryer French Toast recipe! Are you wondering how you can make homemade pumpkin puree and not use the canned stuff? Roasting a pumpkin is pretty easy! Check how my instructions on how to roast a pumpkin for fresh pumpkin puree. Be sure that you are using real pumpkin and not a pumpkin pie mix. This is a pumpkin bread with real pumpkin.

What if I don’t have pumpkin pie spice? 

I did top our Pumpkin Air Fryer French Toast with some pumpkin spice. Pumpkin pie spice in this recipe just makes it easier. Did you know that pumpkin pie spice is made up of: cinnamon, cloves, ginger and nutmeg. So if you do not have any pumpkin pie spice on hand but you have the other spices, you can add those in!

How to make pumpkin air fryer french toast:

  1. Whisk the eggs together with the pumpkin pie spice.
  2. Spray basket of air fryer with oil.
  3. Dip the bread sticks into the egg mixture, place into air fryer basket.
  4. Cook at 360 degrees F for 4 minutes. Then gently flip and cook another 4 minutes.
  5. Top with syrup, whipping cream and more pumpkin pie spice. ENJOY!
