Air Fryer French Toast shows yet another level of recipe that you can create in your Air Fryer! Breakfast from an Air Fryer? Yes, it is true!

How to Make Breakfast in the Air Fryer

We love our Air Fryer and we have been having fun creating recipes in it. As you know, we love all things breakfast!

From quiche, granola and french toast casserole…we love it all! So as far as the air fryer is concerned, we knew that we needed to try a breakfast idea!

So french toast sticks it is!

How to Make French Toast in the Air Fryer

The Air Fryer French Toast was easy to make, though I am not sure if it is easier than doing it in a pan. I think it is just fun to use Air Fryer.

Spray the Air Fryer’s Basket with Non-Stick Cooking Spray

One HUGE factor is that you need to spray the Air Fryer Basket so the Air Fryer French Toast does not stick. I learned this the hard way. That was fun to clean up.

I love how simple the ingredients are in this Air Fryer French Toast. French Toast, in general, is pretty simple.

1. Whisk Some Eggs

We are starting with some eggs. You can use either chicken eggs here or your favorite vegetarian eggs. Thrive Market sells a plant-based egg replacement called “Follow Your Heart VeganEgg.” It is made from non-GMO soy.

Then we are going to scramble those eggs! Easy peasy, right? Next up is the bread.

2. Sprinkle Cinnamon in the Eggs and Dip the Bread In the Mixture

We used our favorite gluten-free bread. You are welcome to use your favorite too!

So we have used eggs and bread so far. We are also going to mix in a little cinnamon for added yumminess!

3. Cook It in the Air Fryer

After you spray the basket with non-stick spray, just let the air fryer bake them. Then you are ready to eat. It’s so easy!

This really couldn’t get any easier! Oh yes, and some delicious maple syrup and powdered sugar to top it off!

Wondering how to make it? Here’s the printable recipe card.

Air Fryer French Toast

Air Fryer French Toast shows yet another level of recipe that you can create in your Air Fryer!  Breakfast from an Air Fryer? Yes, it is true!
Servings: 2 people

Ingredients

  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • butter
  • 4 slices bread (I used gluten-free)

Instructions

  • Butter both sides of the bread. Then cut bread into strips or sticks.
  • Whisk the eggs together with the cinnamon.
  • Spray basket of air fryer with oil.
  • Dip the bread sticks into the egg mixture, place into air fryer basket.
  • Cook at 360 degrees F for 3 minutes. Then gently flip and cook another 2 minutes.
  • ENJOY!

Notes

Be gentle. Especially if using gluten-free bread!

All though this website attempts to provide accurate nutritional information, the information should only be considered an estimate. Varying factors such as different product types, different brands, etc. can change nutritional information. It is your responsibility as a consumer to read all labels to make sure the ingredients fit your dietary needs as well as calculate your own nutritional information as a double check.

I think using the Air Fryer would be helpful if you are making multiple things. Especially if you need the stove space for the other food items.

Let’s talk!

This looks and sounds so yummy! If only I could take the carbs out of the bread and skip the powder sugar and syrup I would be golden. I have diabetes though and can only have something like this as a rare treat. Isn’t tomorrow some kind of holiday?

I let it drip down to the under basket. But you can put parchment paper in there to catch it as well 🙂
