VEGAN HONEY MUSTARD RECIPE
Honey mustard is a classic and iconic dipping sauce. Easily found at any drive through or quick service restaurant, you may have had honey mustard with your fries or other fried foods before.
This recipe for vegan honey mustard makes a honey mustard sauce with fresh ingredients that is tastier than anything you can buy. We're using all vegan ingredients to make a honey-less honey mustard.
We're taking vegan mayo and adding mustard, sweetener, and the perfect seasonings. You'll want to put this stuff on everything.
INGREDIENTS IN VEGAN HONEY MUSTARD
Yellow Mustard - This sauce gets it's color and tang from regular yellow mustard. Feel free to substitute a spicy mustard or even dijon if you prefer, but I like the flavor from this classic.
Vegan Mayo - Use your favorite. This gives us a creamy, dippable sauce.
Agave or Maple Syrup - Instead of honey we'll use one of these vegan sweeteners.
Lemon Juice - This adds a hint of citrus and a fresh flavor that really makes it taste like it's homemade.
Garlic Powder - Just a bit of garlic powder adds big flavor here.
Cayenne Pepper - This is optional. Adding cayenne to vegan honey mustard adds a spicy dimension that I quite enjoy.

WHAT TO SERVE WITH VEGAN HONEY MUSTARD
Try vegan honey mustard dressing on salads, or use at as a dip or sauce for your favorite meals. I love this with Air Fryer Frozen French Fries , Air Fryer Fried Pickles, and Air Fryer Tofu. The creaminess of this goes perfectly with the crunch that you get from air frying.
IS HONEY VEGAN?
Nope. While there are varying opinions about the ethics surrounding harvesting and eating honey, the fact is that it is from an animal, so honey is not vegan. We're using a plant based sweetener in this recipe to make this recipe vegan approved.
