Roasted Air Fryer Spaghetti Squash takes less than 20 minutes to cook perfectly! Enjoy it plain, or toss it with your favorite pasta sauces for a low-carb, gluten-free meal.
Why This Air Fryer Spaghetti Squash Recipe is So Good
- It's Extra Quick! While roasting spaghetti squash in the oven isn't very difficult, it can take a long time, especially since you need to wait for the oven to preheat. In the air fryer, spaghetti squash only takes 18 minutes to cook.
- Great for Meal Prep. This low-carb and gluten-free pasta substitute is perfect for packing lunches for the week. Make up your favorite sauce and portion the spaghetti squash into containers for the week. I love making Mushroom Spaghetti Squash with sauteed onions, mushrooms, and plenty of parmesan cheese! It's great left over.
- Perfectly Roasted. The time and temperature in this recipe for cooking spaghetti squash in the air fryer have been tried and tested. You'll get perfect, tender, and flaky squash with this recipe. To keep the roasted flavor going, I would serve with a side of Roasted Whole Carrots or some air fryer spinach!
Tips and Tricks for Making Spaghetti Squash in the Air Fryer
- The seasonings in this recipe are basic, and this means that your finished squash will work perfectly with your favorite pasta sauces. Feel free to add other seasonings if you like though.
- When shopping for a spaghetti squash, look for one that is uniform in color, without spots or bruises, and has a hard, green stalk.
- If needed, trim the squash to fit in your air fryer basket. To air fry more than one spaghetti squash, cook them in batches, making sure that you don't layer the squash pieces on top of each other.
- Don't skip the oil. A little bit of olive oil keeps the cut side of the squash from sticking to the air fryer basket and lets the edges get nicely browned.
- Cooked spaghetti squash can be kept in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 5 days. I also like to food prep a salad like Cucumber Radish Salad, so pair with this spaghetti squash.
