This Blue Motorcycle Drink is a beautiful colored, refreshing drink that packs a big punch of alcohol!
What makes the Blue Motorcycle Drink so good?
- This drink not only tastes delicious but it packs a punch when it comes to alcohol content, so be careful with this one!
- The blue color of this drink is absolutely stunning! If you love blue drinks, try making a Grateful Dead drink or Sex on the Driveway cocktail too.
- You can drink a Blue Motorcycle Drink any time of the year, but it is particularly refreshing in the warmer months!
- For those that grew up in the 80s and 90s and remember making "suicide" drinks by mixing all the flavors available at the soda machines at gas stations, this drink is for you! It is a wrap-up of several kinds of alcohol. It's like a grown-up version!
Tips and Tricks for the Blue Motorcycle Drink
- This cocktail is similar to a Long Island Iced Tea– it uses a lot of alcohol! We’re using blue curacao (for color), gin, vodka, tequila, and rum. I recommend going with classic, unflavored alcohols in this cocktail– a London dry gin, an unflavored or citrus vodka, a blanco tequila, and an unflavored white rum.
- Lemon juice adds a bit of acidity and freshness to the cocktail. If you don’t want to use lemon juice and simple syrup, swap them for 1 ½ ounces sour mix.
- Simple syrup adds just a hint of sweetness to balance out the lemon juice.
- Lemon-lime soda adds sweetness and effervescence to the cocktail. Feel free to swap it for sparkling water if you’d like to cut out some of the extra sugar.
