WHY YOU WILL LOVE THIS BUFFALO TOFU RECIPE
- Minimal Ingredients - I've got a million ways to make tofu up my sleeve, but Buffalo Tofu is one of my all-time favs! You only need two ingredients to make this air fried tofu, and another 4 pantry staples to make the luscious buffalo sauce.
- There are several ways to make buffalo tofu. You can bake it, you can sauté it, but I love making tofu in the air fryer! It's so crispy in just a few minutes.
- Tofu is a great option for a meatless meal, but it can be intimidating if you've never worked with it before. The EZ Tofu Press takes the liquid out of your firm or extra firm tofu easily and quickly. Seriously, this machine does all the hard work for you!
INGREDIENTS IN BUFFALO TOFU
Tofu: Tofu is my favorite alternative protein! It's packed with protein and all 9 essential amino acids.
Oil: You need just a little oil to help the cornstarch stick to the tofu bites.
Cornstarch: My secret to super crunchy tofu is cornstarch! A little on the outside of the cubes gives it that perfect fried texture without all the frying.
Buffalo sauce: You only need Frank's Red Hot Original hot sauce, melted butter, Worcestershire sauce, and garlic powder for homemade Buffalo sauce. If you're on a plant-based diet, try my vegan Buffalo sauce!

This was the best Buffalo tofu recipe I’ve ever made! So simple and delicious. I tossed the tofu in a big bowl instead of a ziplock and it worked just fine.
Hi Naomi! Thanks for coming back and letting us know you loved it and it tossed well in a bowl!
I LOVE your tofu recipes! I actually planned to make tofu for lunch, so I had a block pressing! Then I got the notification update from your blog that you had a new recipe. I love that notification option BTW! It is so helpful! So I popped the tofu into the air fryer (that you also got me hooked on) and made the sauce. This is SUPER delicious!!
It was good but I didn't have Worcestershire sauce that is vegan. Per the suggestions online, I used one part miso and one part water (I used 1 part vegan chick'n broth instead).
This is a great idea. I just should have cooked it for longer (and mine usually overcooks/cooks quickly). I should have used less sauce.
It was delicious though and I made this for my boyfriend with a side of vegan ranch with the tofu, and a side of quinoa/veggies/spice.
Thank you for the recipe!
Hello! Thanks for coming back and letting us know what tweaks you made. That is a great swap out with the 1 part vegan broth 1 part miso! Glad it was delicious!! :). Your meal sounds yummy!!
The BEST tofu I’ve ever made. It’s perfection!!!! THANK YOU!! Now my go-to tofu recipe😍😋💪🏾👏🏾
