If you love strawberries and are a fan of iced matcha lattes, then this easy recipe for a frothy, sweet, and refreshing Strawberry Matcha Latte will be perfect for you!
It's simple to make this pretty layered tea latte with matcha powder, fresh strawberries, and a few other simple ingredients.
Why This Strawberry Matcha Latte Recipe is So Good
- It's not just an iced matcha latte, it's more special than that! You'll prepare the matcha the same way you would for any iced latte, but then add a second layer of strawberries blended with heavy cream and sugar.
- This drink is so creamy and dreamy! It makes a lovely afternoon pick-me-up.
- There is no cooking involved in this recipe. Since matcha is made by whisking powdered tea into hot water, and the rest of the recipe is made in the blender. When it's hot outside, a strawberry matcha latte is the perfect cool beverage.
Tips and Tricks for Making A Strawberry Matcha Latte
- An electric mini whisk or frother can make the job of frothing the matcha easier and quicker.
- Otherwise, a matcha whisk works just fine!
- Garnish the glasses with fresh strawberries, and don't forget the straws.
- Pour the strawberry mixture over the matcha mixture slowly so that you create a beautiful layered effect. If you pour too fast, the colors will mix.
- If you aren't sure which type or brand of matcha to use, this brand is a great option.
- To make this recipe vegan, replace the milk and cream with coconut milk, oat milk, or almond milk, and use maple syrup instead of honey.
- Instead of strawberries, try this recipe with raspberries, blueberries, peaches, or any other fruit that you love.
- This recipe is best enjoyed right away, as the layers will start to separate after a while. But, you can mix up the green matcha mixture and keep it in a sealed container for a day or two in the fridge. Then add the fresh blended strawberries when you're ready to indulge!
