One of the perks of carving pumpkins is making the seeds into a great tasting snack. Having an air fryer to make them sounds a lot more simple. What a great idea!
Its a bonus of carving pumpkins for sure!

Me too! ha!
Pumpkin seeds are one of my Mom's favorite snacks. Sweet memory. 🙂 I would love to make this, but I need to get me an air fryer first.
I have some sweet memories like that too! Sometimes it just makes us stop and smile 🙂
So that's what you do with those cute little seeds!! So far, we have roasted them or thrown them away b/c...well, they are slimy!
They ARE slimy! But after you roast them they are crunchy! YUM for crunch, ewww for slim!
My kids love to cook pumpkin seeds! I dont have an air fryer but I think I need one! #xmaslist
Yes, for sure you need one this year!
We love making pumpkin seeds every year. I don't have an air fryer, but this sounds like an awesome and convenient way to dry the seeds. I think I'll have to add an air fryer to my holiday wish list!
Such a fun way!
Yet another reasson to get a n air fryer. I just found a pumpkin seed recipe that I loved.
Yes, you need one!
I love going to the pumpkin patch with my family, picking out the perfect pumpkin, gutting it out and roasting the seeds. I never knew that it could be done with an air fryer. Now I have to try this!
Hope that you enjoy!
These look delicious! We got an air fryer last month and are absolutely obsessed with it!
We are obsessed too!
This looks like a great way to prepare pumpkin seeds. I pulled the pumpkin seeds from our pumpkins this year and cleaned them, but I still need to roast them!
YUMMM enjoy!
Using the air fryer for this is such a game changer! So easy and perfectly crisp!
Agreed, it is a total game changer!
This is SO awesome!! I love pumpkin seeds!
I love them too!
Oh yum, I’ve never tried to make this on my own. I should! I normally buy pumpkin seeds already toasted but this would be so much better.
I know, I can't wait for pumpkin season again!
What a great idea! Healthy and delicious snack!
Thank you!
These are my favorite fall treats! I never thought to make them in the air fryer.

What about seeds from a spaghetti squash? They look and smell the same.
That's a great question, I am not sure. I would give it a try!
OHMYGOSH!!!! these are the best pumpkin seeds i have ever made! I love my air fryer and i would highly recommend this recipe to anyone. I normally dont leave reviews but with this i had to!! WOW just wow!! SO delicious. Just be sure to not overload your air fryer if you have lots of seeds, do batches!
Lindsey, thank you for coming back and leaving a review! I really appreciate it and it makes my heart so happy! So glad you loved our air fryer pumpkin seeds!
I like the butter and garlic, but mine was overdone in 10 min at 360 degrees. I have a Cuisinart. Maybe it's faster? IDK, but I like 'em and I used spaghetti squash seeds.
Thanks Tracy! I am guessing that spaghetti squash seeds may be thinner and will take less time. I bet that is why they were over done. I have only tested this recipe on pumpkin seeds. Thank you for letting me know about the other type of seeds! Glad you liked them! Butter and garlic sound delicious!
Such a great idea to do these in the air fryer! I don’t boil my seeds and I mix them with just a little olive oil and some soy sauce. I have an Air Ninja and they roasted very quickly...I shook after 5 minutes and only put them back in for another 2-3. Yum!
So glad you loved it!! Thanks for coming back and letting me know your experience with these air fryer pumpkin seeds!
Just curious what the rationale is for boiling the seeds before air frying them. I've been roasting pumpkin seeds for decades without boiling them first. Thanks in advance.
Hi John :). Great question, we've done it both ways, but feel the quick boil makes the seeds a touch more tender inside. It also adds moisture to the seed which helps the outer shell crisp up more in the air fryer. So we are going for that super crisp outside with a slightly but tender but will crisp inside :). You can totally avoid the boil step if you want, we just like how it adds a bit of dimension to the pumpkin seed and outer shell :). I hope that helps! Have a great weekend!
