AIR FRYER SUCCESS EACH AND EVERY TIME
I’ve owned my air fryer now for a while, and I have to be honest…I’ve yet to find a recipe that I don’t love. And did I mention how simple it is?
To say I’m a creature of habit is an understatement. I love being able to cook a meal and know with confidence that it’s going to taste amazing each and every time.
With the Air Fryer, I absolutely have no doubts. I know that from the moment I press start, to the moment that I remove the food from the machine, it will be cooked to perfection each and every time.
CAN I USE FROZEN GREEN BEANS IN MY AIR FRYER?
Yes, you can! I know this because the first time I tried it, my green beans were frozen but in my fridge! Agh! The cooling drawer malfunctioned and got a little too cool!
But instead of throwing in the towel, I decided to try it. It worked. If your beans are frozen and have some frozen moisture on them, they might feel a little more soggy when fully prepared. But they still taste amazing!

Oh I haven't tried an air fryer yet but I really want to! Love it that you can put green beans in there and get that texture just right. Thanks for sharing!
Very welcome!
I have yet to get in to using an air fryer but this sounds like an easy and tasty option in them - do they go crispy or not?
Yes, they get crispier than the typical boil or steaming where it softens them 🙂 I was telling another reader that we have eaten so many beans from our garden and have been steaming, boiling and even broiling, so this tougher crunchier option was a nice change!
This green bean recipe looks delicious! My family loves crispy green beans so I am definitely going to have to try your recipe! Pinning...

I have always wanted to buy an air fryer! These beans are so different in the air fryer. Do they get tough at all? I would like to try them!
They get a little tougher. I like the texture, we have eaten so many beans this summer from our garden it was a nice change 🙂
I have recently started making recipes.in my air fryer and I a loving it! I am always in search of something new. And I am so excited to try these beans!
Hope that you enjoy!!
WOW! I am brand new to Air Fryer Cooking (thank you Santa) I saw your recipe and had to try it but it soon evolved into my own version. I used a pound of small (thin) fancy green beans, sprinkled with avocado oil, Mrs. Dash Garlic and Herb, a little salt, and parmesan (from a canister) I cooked the whole pound at 390 for 10 minutes, stirring half way, then cooked in 5 minute increments stirring halfway until they were done the way we like them...crispy, browned. Total time 20 minutes. Thank you for the inspiration!
You are so welcome for the inspiration! So glad you loved the beans and have so much fun with your air fryer!
Hi. I’m new to air frying. How would you modify this recipe if using frozen green beans?
Thanks!
Hello! The frozen green beans might be a touch "soggier" than the fresh ones. I would press them in a paper towel to help remove any moisture. I would also up the cooking time by 2-3 minutes. But keep a very close eye on them in the last few minutes. They can quickly over cook 🙂 Let me know how it goes. I haven't tried fully frozen one yet. 🙂
I used this as a base recipe with frozen green beans. After the oil I seasoned with onion powder, garlic powder, and some almond flour with the hope that it would get a bit crispy. Mostly they turned out limp and a bit burnt but I don't think it's the recipe's fault haha. I have a giant bag of frozen green beans from Costco and I've tried so many ways of cooking them but the thin ones are hard to do! Thank you for the recipe.
You are so welcome. The frozen ones tend to have a bit more moisture which can make them get a little softer. Thanks for letting me know what you experimented with and how you tweaked the recipe. I always love to hear, whether it worked or not! 🙂 I found this recipe for crispy green beans, It is interested as it uses "beer" But I think its really the fizz that helps give the coating. So you could use club soda. I"ll have to experiment with that one too for a new recipe.
